President’s Message and Two-Year Vision
Dear Members and Friends,
Eleven years ago, I began learning how to serve through the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Seattle. Eleven years later, I am deeply honored to serve as President of the 39th Board and continue giving back to the Chamber and our community.
Over the years, I have witnessed the Chamber grow from generation to generation. I have also come to believe that the true value of a Chamber is not simply measured by the number of events we organize, but by our ability to connect resources, support our members, serve the community, and create opportunities for the next generation.
Over the next two years, we will focus on four priorities:
1. Connecting Resources
Strengthening business and cultural connections among Seattle, Taiwan, and other communities, while building partnerships with businesses, organizations, and the broader community.
2. Supporting Members
Creating more opportunities for business connections, professional programs, company exposure, and cross-industry collaboration so that our members can grow together.
3. Serving the Community
Expanding our involvement in community and public-service initiatives, introducing Taiwan to broader audiences, and making a meaningful local impact.
4. Empowering the Next Generation
Encouraging greater youth participation through scholarships, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and programs that carry the Chamber’s spirit forward.
The strength of our Chamber comes from the participation of our members and the foundation built by generations of leaders before us.
Over the next two years, I look forward to working together to make the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of Seattle not only a platform for Taiwanese businesses, but also a bridge connecting businesses, communities, generations, Seattle, Taiwan, and the world.
Together, let us remain:
Rooted in Seattle, Connected with Taiwan, Shaping the Future Together.
Michael Wu
